Hello, I am Christine and I am a qualified counsellor bringing a wealth of experience from my work with people across different roles and settings. My background in healthcare began as a pharmacist, working directly with individuals and families before moving into management positions and leading my own company. These experiences helped me develop a deep understanding of people and the challenges they face.
For 30 years, I have served as a magistrate in both criminal and civil courts, which has given me valuable insights into how life's difficulties can affect people in different ways, and the importance of offering support without judgement.
My own experience as a carer for my husband during his five-year journey with dementia has given me a genuine understanding of the emotional challenges that caring brings. Having experienced significant bereavements, including the loss of parents, siblings, and my husband, I understand the complex nature of grief and continue to support others through my volunteer work at a memory café.
In my therapy room, I offer a calm and confidential space where you can feel truly heard. People often tell me they appreciate my gentle, considered approach and the sense of stillness I bring to our sessions. I draw on both my professional training and lived experience to provide warm, empathic support as we work together to explore whatever you wish to bring.
